Introducing Network Intelligence in Web Presence Review

Network Intelligence feature announcement

Fraudulent and high-risk merchants rarely apply to just one payment provider. They often submit applications across multiple acquirers, processors, and fintech platforms at the same time, looking for the fastest route to approval.

As TrueBiz has grown, we have gained a broader view of this activity. At our current scale, we can sometimes see the same merchant being reviewed by dozens of payment providers within a short period. On average, around 1 in 5 businesses queried on TrueBiz today have already been searched by another customer on our platform.

We are now exposing this context directly within the Web Presence Review.

Network Intelligence shows when a business was first and most recently seen across the TrueBiz platform, along with the number of searches over the past 30, 90, and 180 days.

Search frequency is not, by itself, a risk signal. Legitimate businesses may be evaluated multiple times for many ordinary reasons. But when combined with other concerns, such as inconsistent ownership, a recently created website, unclear business activity, or connected high-risk entities, it can give reviewers or AI agents another useful reason to look more closely.

This is the first element of the Merchant Data Exchange, our ongoing initiative to turn TrueBiz’s growing network into shared intelligence for the payments ecosystem. As more institutions use TrueBiz, each review can benefit from more context than any one institution could see alone.
